Attention WCPS Families: Maryland SUN Bucks helps families with school-aged children who receive free or reduced-price meals buy groceries during the summer break when school meals are unavailable. Building on the former Summer SNAP program, Maryland SUN Bucks will help 543,000 children across the state who receive free and reduced-priced meals.

The first day of S.T.A.T.T. Camp at WTHS was a huge success! Students from Pocomoke High School and Stephen Decatur High School are excelling at the Educators Rising Conference in Washington, D.C., this weekend. They are actively participating in competitions, attending sessions on the ethics of teaching, crafting lesson plans to address diverse needs, and honing their leadership skills. Both schools extend their gratitude to the Maryland Leads Grow Your Own Grant for making this incredible learning experience possible.
We are absolutely in love with these bird artworks and poetry by our Cedar Chapel students, created this spring! CCSS Art teacher, Ms. Marybeth helped students create amazing birds with paint, feathers and mixed media. Then they created beautiful poems by choosing words with their communication devices!
Juneteenth is a holiday commemorating the emancipation of those who had been enslaved in the United States. It started in Galveston, Texas and is now celebrated every year on June 19 across the United States. #WeAreWorcester

Check out this NEW program at WTHS!!! It is open to Juniors and Seniors (and we are adding Sophomores in) and it is a one-year program. Students can still take band or chorus, because this program will be offered in the morning and afternoon! However, this program is NOT just for music students. If they aren't currently in band or chorus, that is okay! There are still many opportunities for learning music, editing, videography, mixing, and other tech aspects! They will also get Premiere Pro and AVID certified while in the program!
