UPDATE 12:22 PM: At this time, the LOCKDOWN at Ocean City Elementary School has been lifted. All students and staff are safe, and the threat has been deemed unverified. We are working with law enforcement to dismiss students at the regularly scheduled early dismissal time of 1:00 p.m. with an increased presence of law enforcement. Parents wishing to pick up their child, must use Keyser Point Road and turn east onto Center Drive. Law enforcement and school system officials will direct parents through the route to pick up their child at their regular dismissal doors. Buses will utilize the same route. We ask for your patience and understanding as dismissal will take more time. Thank you for your continued cooperation.

The image is a promotional graphic for an event. It features a purple-themed "Save the Date" notice for a Media Expo in 2025. Central to the design is a vivid image of a pink water lily. The event details are clear: it will take place on March 20 at Snow Hill High School from 5-7 PM. The graphic also includes a website, wcpsmediaexpo.com, encouraging visitors to browse student work. The overall design is clean, focusing on the beauty of the flower and the essential information for the event.
Today at Worcester Technical High School, I had the honor of presenting Superintendent Challenge Coins to Jaylin Q., Zoey R., Hope C., and Keira L., students in Dr. Makuchal's nursing program. These remarkable young women went above and beyond, embodying our Worcester County Public Schools' motto, "People Make the Difference", while providing compassionate hospice care after school. Their kindness, dedication, and selflessness are a true reflection of the values instilled in them by their families, who proudly joined us for this special recognition. -LT #WeAreWorcester #MakingADifference #KindnessMatters
