WTHS continues to blaze trails. On Friday a lot of heavy hitting, rigorous activity was going on. Students practiced manicures in Cosmetology, laid intricate brick and block designs in Masonry, studied refrigerant in HVAC, and appeared on WBOC's Delmarva Life in an interview about our digital music program. We are also in the process of creating the Marlin Marketplace- a school shop featuring program products from honey to shirts to laser cut items. That's just the tip of the iceberg folks...standby!

Attention WCPS families: As temperatures remain low, WCPS wants to remind our students and their families to be safe near bodies of water that form ice this time of year. Remember, the ice on ponds, storm water retaining areas, and canals is never strong enough to allow any human to walk on them. Keep the below safety tips in mind for winter water safety.
• Do not walk, skate, or play on frozen bodies of water. A good rule to follow is there is no such thing as a sate thickness of ice in our area.
• Keep pets and children away from ice-covered bodies of water.
Animals are particularly at risk of falling through thin ice.
• Educate children. Tell kids about the dangers of playing near frozen bodies of water and reinforce the importance of never venturing out on the ice.
• Report dangerous conditions. If you see anyone venturing onto the ice, immediately call 91l and inform local authorities.

Over 30 students from our distinguished Detective Mike Levy's criminal justice program took the Ocean City Police Department Entrance Exam today. It's great to see so many students engaging in a way that can positively impact the overall health and quality of our community. Thank you OCPD for coming out to proctor the exams and for believing in our students!

WTHS Hospitality Program, under master designer Caitlin Evans, has been busy transforming the space for the holidays. A shout out to Lindsey Reed for the oversized origami Marlin on the tree. Happy Holidays!

WTHS cosmetology students under experts Patricia Hands and Rachel Watson are busy learning how to section hair and apply base and relaxers. Students are also perfecting their combing and shearing techniques. Our students are amazing and the cosmetology lab is OPEN for business.
