WCPS Families, to stem any confusion, please be aware that school is in session tomorrow, April 23.
In August 2023, the Board of Education adopted a calendar revision moving the Countywide PD Day from April 23, to May 14, to align with the Presidential Primary election date. As this change occurred prior to the start of the school year, all of our countywide calendars have accurately reflected this information since that time.

Worcester County Public Schools will open one-hour late today, Wednesday, April 3, due to foggy conditions. Buses will operate accordingly. All school programs will begin following the one-hour delay.

Meet Carrie Moore, Snow Hill Middle School's Teacher of the Year, who we'll be celebrating at the annual Teacher of the Year Celebration on April 4.
Carrie Moore earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Salisbury University and her Masters degree in Special Education from Liberty University. She is in her 10th year teaching and has found a passion working with students with Emotional Disabilities. She believes in a student-centered classroom that builds confidence, character, and compassion for others while instilling a love for learning and opening a world of possibilities in the minds of her students. She served as an SGA class advisor, NHS selection committee, PBIS Team leader, member of her School Improvement Team, After-School Club Advisor (Lego, Chess, Geography) and mentor to former students.

🌟 Big shoutout to @The Wellness Center of Maryland in Salisbury for their incredible support! 🌟 This morning, they sponsored a delicious and balanced breakfast for us, along with providing "breakfast break bags" to keep our students fueled up during spring break. 🥐☕️ And talk about perfect timing! Today, as some of our students and staff sport green in solidarity for Mental Health Awareness 💚, The Wellness Center stepped up to nourish both body and mind. Thank you for your kindness and thoughtfulness! 🙏 #WellnessSupport #MentalHealthAwareness #Gratitude
