Attention WCPS Families: Maryland SUN Bucks helps families with school-aged children who receive free or reduced-price meals buy groceries during the summer break when school meals are unavailable. Building on the former Summer SNAP program, Maryland SUN Bucks will help 543,000 children across the state who receive free and reduced-priced meals.

It was another great day with SHHS Summer Academy at the Salisbury Zoo! We studied species and their adaptations as well as learned about how the zoo aims to preserve species diversity.
Week #2 of the Outdoor Learning Academy is off to a great start! It was a beautiful day on the Pocomoke River with the Pocomoke Canoe Co. exploring our local area and this riparian buffer zone along the river. Get into nature!

Today the Outdoor Academy explored Furnace Town Historic Site. Students hiked through the cypress swamp, practiced bird identification, watched a blacksmith demo and learned about this relic from the mid 1800s.
We love science! SHHS Outdoor Academy had fun treasure hunting at Franklin City, VA and are exploring NASA Wallops Visitor Center-Astro Olympics and talking to NASA scientists. It was another great day of learning! ❤️🩶
