The Americanism Essay Contest Banquet was held at the American Legion in Berlin last evening and it was such an amazing moment for Showell Elementary, as our students took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the contest!! Our students got to read their essays and share their knowledge of patriotism. Congratulations again to Julie Chmelick, Mrs. Thompson class - 3rd place, Saylor Miller, Mrs. Kolankowski’s class – 2nd place, and Cora Holland, Mrs. Kolankowski’s class – 1st place. Cora also placed 2nd place in the entire district for this contest!! Way to represent SES girls! We couldn’t be more proud of you!

Happy National Librarian Day to our very own, Mrs. McCabe!📚
