IMPORTANT STATEMENT FROM THE BOARD OF EDUCATION:
The Worcester County Board of Education remains committed to the safety and security of our students and staff. While we have already publicly addressed the recommendations and presentations by our law enforcement officials, we recognize that this continued public debate on school safety is not conducive to restoring the partnership between our entities, and it stands to further incite fear in our students.
To that end, the Board and Superintendent of Schools has extended an open invitation to the Worcester County Sheriff and Chief Deputy to meet with the Superintendent and Chief Safety and Academic Officer to discuss the execution of our Memorandum of Understanding and how we can best move forward for the betterment of our schools.

Our first group of 6th graders participated in direct action for their service learning with a trip to the Worcester County Humane Society. Trips continue throughout the Spring. They learned about taking care of animals, being responsible pet owners, and of course, had a blast playing with some furry friends. Huge thanks to everyone who made this possible! #3RsBIS #PartnershipsinAction

Yesterday, after conferences, I stopped at Jersey Mike's to grab my son a sandwich. While I was waiting, the gentleman working offered me a bag of chips. He said someone had paid for them but had not taken them. I told him I was the principal at BIS and would reward a few students if he was serious. He grabbed a bag and added several more bags of chips and some brownies for kids. It was a nice surprise! Thank you Jersey Mike's for supporting your community!
