A very special shoutout to Donna Pellinger for leading the charge and raising the funds to make Rock your Socks happen at BIS! She put out the call to our community and everyone responded quickly. Her son Conor is her inspiration and one of our amazing BIS Jr. Seahawks. Thank you Donna and thank you to everyone who donated! #3RsBIS

TODAY March 21 is Spring Picture Day!

At BIS, we are Rocking our Socks for World Down Syndrome Day. Thank you to our community for making it possible to provide every student and teacher with a pair of colorful, mismatched socks. Under a microscope, a pair of chromosomes look like a pair of socks. Since people living with down syndrome have an extra 21st chromosome, wearing mismatched socks is the traditional way to celebrate this special day. #3RsBIS

It's 10 minutes until the curtain rises on Winnie the Pooh, Kids. Our 5th graders and their director, Mrs Mills are amazing and we are in for a treat. Thank you to the Worcester County Arts Council for your financial support of our productions! #3RsBIS #ArtsIntegrationSchool
Due to licensing, we cannot post photos or videos of the show.

Thank you, Deputy Taylor for sharing your time and knowledge with our 5th grade Jr. Seahawks during DARE. #3RsBIS

With spring around the corner, WCPS is releasing its updated current school year calendar that reflects an updated last day of school, given the single inclement weather closure this year. Please note, June 14 and 17 still appear as potential make-up days, but are unlikely to be used.

Thanks to the amazing generosity of our community, BIS is ready to Rock Our Socks tomorrow for World Down Syndrome Day! This is wonderful opportunity for our students to build acceptance, understanding, and to celebrate our differences. Check back tomorrow for pictures of our students and staff! #3RsBIS

Last call to join us if you'd like to learn about Worcester's implementation of the Blueprint for Maryland's Future. Tonight's regional information session at Snow Hill High School (5:30 p.m. at Snow Hill High School) will be the last opportunity to provide in-person feedback before the 2024 plan is finalized.
