Families,

As the fall 2021 sports season wraps up, we want to make you aware of some important changes for the upcoming winter high school sports season.

On October 11, the Bayside Conference announced new protocols for the winter season designed to keep our student athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators safe throughout the competition season.

The first is a comprehensive COVID-19 testing program for our student athletes. Full details on this testing program can be found below, and will be shared with athletes as they register for the upcoming season. In addition to the testing program, students who test positive for COVID-19 are ineligible to participate in practices or competition until they are cleared to return by the appropriate school official(s).

We also recognize how important it is for our student athletes to have support on the sidelines from their family. While our competition venues will be open with limited capacity to ensure appropriate physical distancing, our student athletes will be allotted a limited number of tickets for guests at both home and away games. All spectators will be required to wear face masks. We will share more information about ticketing and entrance procedures with you as the season nears.

As a reminder, Worcester County Public Schools continues to offer livestream viewing for high school sports competitions at our home venues. More information about this can be found by clicking here.

We want to thank you in advance for your cooperation to make the upcoming winter sports season a successful one! As always, if you have any additional questions, please contact your child's school.
