CALENDAR DEVELOPMENT
The Worcester County Board of Education recognizes the importance of having staff, student, parent, and community input in the development of the school calendar.
Each fall, calendar proposals for the next school year are drafted and presented to school system leadership and the Board of Education. During the winter, input on calendar preferences is collected from parents, staff, and students. Survey results are then presented to the Superintendent of Schools and the Board of Education. These survey results are considered when the Superintendent recommends the proposed calendar to the Board of Education, which typically occurs at its February meeting each year.
