Winners Named in Elks Club Americanism Contest

Sixth graders Emily Sandt and Shiloh Ponds of Berlin Intermediate School were the winners of Elks Club Americanism contest. Shiloh won the essay portion of the contest for writing on essay on the question “Why is it important to vote?” while Emily won the poster contest by drawing her favorite American symbol, the Statue of Liberty. Both students' works will move on to the state-level contest.
