WCPS Applies for Two STEM-Focused Grants

Worcester County Public Schools is applying to the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) for two 21st Century Community Learning Centers grants for after-school and summer-school programming.

One grant, EXPLORE, will be a STEM-focused (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) after-school and summer-school program for fourth and fifth grade students at Pocomoke and Snow Hill middle schools. The other grant, HORIZONS, is a STEM-focused after-school and summer-school program for students in ninth through twelfth grades at Pocomoke and Snow Hill high schools.

This grant will be submitted on June 4 to MSDE (Baltimore) and is now available for examination at the Board of Education Offices at 6270 Worcester Highway, Newark, Maryland, 21841.
