Ten Schools Earn Gold Status for PBIS

Ten schools across Worcester County were honored at the 2017 PBIS Eastern Shore Regional Summer Institute this morning. All ten schools achieved Gold Status and were honored. Opening the Institute with comments was Superintendent of Schools Louis H. Taylor. 

Earning Gold recognition this year for Worcester County were the following schools:
  • Cedar Chapel Special School
  • Snow Hill Elementary School
  • Showell Elementary School
  • Pocomoke Elementary School
  • Berlin Intermediate School
  • Snow Hill Middle School
  • Stephen Decatur Middle School
  • Pocomoke High School
  • Snow Hill High School
  • Stephen Decatur High School

Also receiving recognition at the Institute was Pocomoke Middle School, who took first place in the PBIS Film Festival. 

PBIS Maryland is a collaborative effort between the Maryland State Department of Education, Sheppard Pratt Health System, the Johns Hopkins University; Center for the Prevention of Youth Violence, and the 24 Local Maryland School Systems.
