On Friday, April 15th & Saturday April 16th, the Worcester Technical High School SkillsUSA Chapter competed in the SkillsUSA Maryland State Championships at the Center of Applied Technology North in Severn, Maryland. A remarkable 53 students came home with awards for their efforts. Worcester Technical High School also received the Chapter of Excellence Award - one of only two schools in the state of Maryland.  The winners and categories were:

1st Place Winners:

  • 3-D Visualization – Gianna Pessanneillo and Justine Graham
  • Principles of Technology – Lindsay Kremer
  • Engineering Technology – Chase Dolbey. Caleb Connor and Lily Watsky
  • Medical Math – Zac Ciocco
  • Building Maintenance – Keyondra Snell
  • Mobile Robotics – Drayton Hoffman And Devon Mickels
  • Career Pathways Bio Med – Emily Mast, Hannah Semsker and Julie Woods
  • Community Action Project – Kacie Gee and Adam Taylor
  • Major Appliance Repair – Kyle Fields
  • Electronics Technology – Luke Schofield
  • Quiz Bowl – Randy Odenwald, Logan Romberger, Christian Beres, Deep Patel, Alex Reznikov and Zachary Davis
  • Prepared Speech – Laila Mirza
  • Team Engineering Challenge (Middle School) – Ben Forbes, Judah Morningstar and  Dylan Arnold

  • Welding Sculpture – Ethan Mansfield

3rd Place Winners:

All 29 first place winners, the SkillsUSA Maryland President and the national voting delegates will be attending the SkillsUSA Conference in Louisville, Kentucky from June 20th – 25th to compete against their peers from across the country.
