At it's monthly meeting, the Worcester County Commissioners honored students who competed as part of Maryland's SkillsUSA delegation who placed in the top 10 in the nation at the 52nd Annual National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC), held in Louisville, KY, this summer. 

Students from Worcester County Public Schools earned the following:

Noah Sent, Judah Morningstar and Dylan Arnold, Gold Medal – Team Engineering Challenge

Laila Mirza, Fourth Place – Prepared Speech
Laila was also elected as the 2017-2018 SkillsUSA National Parliamentarian.

Daniel Tyndall, Devin Mewborn and Julia Morris, Sixth Place - Crime Scene Investigation

Shawn Mitchell, Sixth Place - Major Appliance Repair

Makayla Zajdel, Samantha Stephan and Ivy Stearn, Sixth Place - CPS/Biology

Andrew Miller and Kaleb Schmucki, Seventh Place - Mobile Robotics

Trevor Moats, Seventh Place - Building Maintenance

Sierra Payne, Tenth Place - Medical Math
